FAM Education and Body Literacy

Fertility Awareness Methods (FAM) are powerful tools for understanding your body, supporting hormone health, and making informed decisions—at any stage of life.

Whether you're:

  • Hoping to avoid or achieve pregnancy

  • Wanting to make sense of confusing charts

  • Seeking the root cause of cycle symptoms

I offer personalized, evidence-based education that's compassionate and judgment-free. This work is for everyone - regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, relationship status, or family planning goals.

I also support parents who want to empower their teens with accurate, respectful, age-appropriate body literacy.

  • Fertility Awareness Methods (FAM) are evidence-based approaches to tracking your cycle and reproductive health. They can help you:

    • Monitor hormone function and overall wellness

    • Avoid pregnancy naturally and effectively

    • Improve chances of conceiving

    • Identify root causes of infertility, pregnancy loss, or other cycle concerns

  • Cycle charting can benefit people in many life stages and situations, including:

    • Teens learning about their changing bodies

    • Adults trying to optimize chances for conception

    • Individuals and couples seeking non-hormonal birth control

    • Those experiencing health concerns, irregular cycles, PMS, or other hormone-related symptoms

    • Anyone curious about what their cycle can reveal about whole-body wellness

  • I'm a certified FEMM™ and teenFEMM™ educator, licensed occupational therapist, and certified lactation counselor.

I also have personal experience with the Creighton Model and have worked closely with both NaPro and FEMM™ medical providers. These tools supported me through endometriosis, pregnancy loss, and now, the daily rhythms of life with two children—giving me both professional insight and lived empathy.

  • FEMM™ is a symptohormonal method that teaches clients to track:

    • Cervical mucus

    • Luteinizing hormone (LH)

While Basal Body Temperature (BBT) tracking is optional, I offer it as an add-on for those interested.

teenFEMM™:
Body Literacy for Pre-Teens & Teens

    • Parent/guardian attendance encouraged

    • Teens start charting after session 2

    • Charts reviewed in sessions 3–6 (privately or in group, based on comfort)

    • Flexible scheduling to meet your needs

    • Hormonal health and development

    • Emotional changes and brain development

    • Lifestyle habits and self-care

    • Sexual health and STIs (age-appropriate, respectful discussions)

If a teen’s cycle shows signs of imbalance (e.g. acne, painful periods, irregularity), I can refer you to trusted FEMM™-trained medical providers.
